Benefits of inclusive and accessible sports facilities and services
Navico’s Timo Perälä and Pekka Tahkola are working as experts in Winter Cycling Federation’s EU Erasmus+ Sport project “Sustainable and inclusive access to sport practices”. Timo has been the author for the first publication of the project. The report concentrates on the benefits of inclusive and accessible sports facilities and services.
The report is not only showcasing active travel possibilities and best practices to sports practices. It also discusses children’s and adolescents’ hobbies and inactivity as a broader phenomenon of modern society.

The SIASP -project continues until the end of February 2025. The second publication concentrates on how to develop more sustainable and accessible sport facilities and services (How to? -guide). The SIASP – project is funded by the EU Erasmus+ Sport and executed by 3 partners: Winter Cycling Federation (Finland), Cyklokoalícia (Slovakia) and Active Austria (Austria).
The report can be downloaded after the EU comission officer has approved the report. Hopefully we can share the report soon..
